Sharing Centuries of Cultural Heritage on Film

The 39th annual Gershman
Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival presents film and film-related programs that
appeal to diverse communities and encourage understanding across racial,
economic and religious divides from November 9 through 23 at 11 locations,
including the Gershman Y at 401 South Broad Street.
There will be a
free master class with acclaimed documentary filmmaker Dani Menkin at 11 a.m.,
November 10, and more. Highlighted films include Picture of His Life, Carl Laemmle, The Passengers, Crescendo, Those Who
Remained, Joseph Pulitzer: Voice of the People, Heir to an Execution and The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz,
among others.
The Big Nights Pass (opening night,
centerpiece and closing night) is $55, including post-film receptions. For
